All thanks to YOU who participated in "A Cut Above Charity"! We are still excited with the figure and the experience it left us with. It was a campaign to remember =)

On top of that, "A Cut Above Charity" ended in botak-style!
It took us by surprise that SEVEN (out of 17) participants who took part in the BOTAK WANTED - Bald Challenge were sentenced to go botak on the final day of "A Cut Above Charity"! The donations sky rocketed on the final day and thank you to all who made it happen! =)

We believe that everyone who were present during "A Cut Above Charity" closing ceremony somehow enjoyed the moment (Botak Wanted Shaving Ceremony). Put aside the fact that it was entertaining to watch, the most important thing to highlight here is that these seven brave participants gave their hair away just for charity. Now that is what we call generosity without a limit! =)

From left: Mr. Ang Sze Yen (RM1,450), Mr. Wee Chu Kok (RM2,528), Mr. Bong Yang (RM1,501), Mr. Lee Hwee Chuin (RM6,066), Dr. Yip Mum Wai (RM1,808), Mr. Momo (RM2,066), and Mr. Lim Joe Heang (RM1,001)

We even had the beautiful Ms. Chiang Lee Ming, blogger and model, who came over to show her support! Check out her post regarding "A Cut Above Charity"! CLICK! =) Thank you Ms. Chiang Lee Ming!

We also had Mr. Jeremy Teo (DJ, Red FM) who was so full of energy! Thank you for the great time, Jeremy! =)

"A Cut Above Charity" ended with Lucky Draw prize giving. To all winners, CONGRATULATIONS! =)

With that, we would like to say...

MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE "A CUT ABOVE CHARITY" A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN!!!

Don't stop giving to charity, remember that charitable causes can be botak-licious too! =)

"A Cut Above Charity" Day 2

Day 1 was already a hit but Day 2 of "A Cut Above Charity" was even better!

We had one little girl who is the youngest among all to support "A Cut Above Charity"! Little Ms. Tang Ning Xuan, 1 and her older sister paid us a visit and supported us by getting their hair cut! They may be little but they sure are big in giving. =)

Besides Bald Challenge - BOTAK WANTED, we also had a 4,000-pieces puzzle entitled "A Little Help, Fulfills A Dream". All funds collected from this activity was also channeled to HOSPIS Malaysia alongside other activities in "A Cut Above Charity".

Prizes... Visitors and participants will not go back empty handed. However a bit of luck is needed to win these prizes. =)

An A Cut Above Academy make-up artist and hairstylist who tagged along in this charitable cause was also present showcasing the art and beauty of make-up and hairstyling. With inspirations from Lady Gaga songs during his showcase, his creation was artistically inspired.

On another note, guess which of the BOTAK WANTED "convicts" got caught?!

MONOpportunity... Human-sized dice, board and cards!

And guess who came over to "A Cut Above Charity" on the first day?

(Malaysian born, Singapore-based artist)

Ms. Yeo Yann Yann... Her undying energy on stage is just remarkable. On top of that, she's multilingual too! (Hakka, Cantonese, Hokkien, English...)

We also had Mr. Ang Sze Yen (Julius), School of Social Science and Humanities lecturer, who entertained us with all his heart by singing two songs in which he blew us all away. =) He is also one of the participants in the Bald Challenge - BOTAK WANTED.

Raising fund doesn't just comply to give and receive. "A Cut Above Charity" showed a different side of fund raising all thanks to the presence of energetic and supportive individuals such as YB Chua Tee Yong, Ms. Yeo Yann Yann, and of course Mr. Ang Sze Yen himself!

Thank you for all your support! =)

"A CUT ABOVE CHARITY" OFFICIALLY BEGINS

"A Cut Above Charity" was officially launched by YB Chua Tee Yong, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, alongside Dr. Tan Chik Heok, Principal of TAR College.

In a surprising announcement, YB Chua generously donated RM5,000 to "A Cut Above Charity"!

It was a proud moment for the Advanced Diploma in Public Relations and Media Studies student organisers as it marked the beginning of their fundraiser.

Inspiring speeches by YB Chua and Principal Dr. Tan enlivened the morning atmosphere, bringing the sudents strength of mind to pursue the highest possible amount of funds to benefit HOSPIS Malaysia.

This would boost students' spirits and their caring and compassionate effort.

"A Cut Above Charity" had kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by YB Chua and Dr. Tan, in front of a "giant pair of scissors", followed by a tour of exhibition booths. Sportingly, YB Chua got his haircut by A Cut Academy personnel.
