"A Cut Above Charity" gives to HOSPIS Malaysia

Teaming up with A Cut Above Academy, "A Cut Above Charity" gives to HOSPIS Malaysia!
All fund raised will be channeled to HOSPIS Malaysia (eg: to buy life-support equipments that the patients need).






Let us tell you a bit about HOSPIS Malaysia.




Being managed by volunteer-professionals and full-time medical doctors, HOSPIS Malaysia  is a charitable organisation that has been offering palliative medicine and care on the the basis of need to patients who are diagnosed with life-threatening conditions, such as cancer and AIDS, in the Klang Valley without a fee (free-of-charge).

HOSPIS Malaysia is a strong advocate for professional palliative care in Malaysia and works closely with the Ministry of Health to achieve its objectives and missions such as to provide the highest quality of palliative care so as to provide relief from, and prevent pain and suffering of those associated with life-threatening illness. HOSPIS Malaysia also provide palliative care education and workshops.

Since its establishment in the year 1991, HOSPIS Malaysia has 300 to 400 mobile patients at current who are being offered palliative medicine and cared for by 14 trained nursers and doctors.

With recent extension of its building, HOSPIS Malaysia has 10 employees and 20 volunteers who are in long-term commitments with HOSPIS Malaysia. These 20 volunteers are active advocates whereby every Thursday of the week, they will organise activities and care for patients.
