Let’s provide you with an induction course before proceeding to what this blog post is about.
For years, year 2 students of both Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Public Relations) and Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Media Studies) will need to undergo an exciting experience as it is their final years. Not only is it important to excel and succeed in this exciting experience, both courses also need to be head-to-head with the almost-real world of campaign management and planning.
The most important reason about this upcoming event is to help raise sense of awareness and responsibility in all of you who are reading this blog, about social issues that need your attention. We, as organizers, would love to play our roles as students and also motivators of change to influence the minds of many to what is important and what may have been taken lightly about for a better future.
With that reason in mind, we proudly present you…
Date: 20th - 22nd December 2010
Time: 9.30am - 6pm
Venue: College Hall, Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC), Setapak Main Campus
This event is a charity haircut that aims to help raise awareness and funds for the less fortunate.
We are taking a step differently with A Cut Above Charity than the usual where you attend, you give then you go.
A Cut Above Charity is as interesting as it sounds. With support from A Cut Above Academy whereby the academy will be providing the event with 50 enthusiastic academicians to give you a haircut. You read it right, a haircut.
This event enables you to attend, get a fantastic haircut of your choice or perhaps a trendy one recommended by the academicians, tour around the exhibition area to gain knowledge about the charity home and A Cut Above, play a human-size monopoly (called MONOpportunity) and other activities, win some fantastic prizes, and go back with some goodies if not prizes, and most importantly, a brand new haircut for the year end!
With only RM10, you will be able to get a haircut from Malaysia’s renowned hair salon, A Cut Above’s academy founded by Ms Winnie Loo. Of course, you will need to purchase a haircut coupon of RM10 in order to get your haircut by such an awesome hair salon lah. =)
All proceedings will be channeled to HOSPIS Malaysia.
